Which is on a completely different level as far as quality is concerned. So, furiously I immediately called their customer service, who cleared it with a manager to send me a totally different brand-new scope. Attempted justifying ripping me off with giving me a $5 discount on a new scope. ![]() They didn't touch it at the repair laboratory, claimed that the tube was bent (it still isn't), and refused to fix it. Two weeks later the reticle came unglued, when attempting to fish it out, the threads locked, and I was left with a paperweight.Įmailed Bushnell at least eight times without a response, called twice, finally mailed it back to them at the returns department. I was hoping that the scope would at least hold up if used with a nearly recoilless 22LR, after all it appeared that the recoil of the higher powered rifles is what caused it to disintegrate. A month later, after having difficulty clearly seeing a target at 300yds with my Simmons 22mag, I decided to give the sharpshooter a try on my 10/22. I ordered a new scope and removed it from my 223 putting it on the shelf. So, I felt a little cheated.Īfter my second or third week of use, I knew that I was pushing the average life span of the scope. Wondering what the actual value of the scope was I went on eBay to see what they were selling for, a big fat $5. There were several videos on YouTube testifying to this. Several customers who purchased the same rifle/scope deal complained that the scope completely fell apart 1-2 weeks after purchase. In fact, could not find anything about it on the Bushnell site, but I did find plenty of reviews and customer complaints about it. Found out that it was not listed in the Bushnell product catalog and is not sold separately by itself. ![]() Got home, noticed it looked like a fake/ripoff Bushnell, so I did some research on the scope. ![]() Bought a Savage Axis SA 223 that came with a Bushnell Sharpshooter scope last Black Friday. ![]()
